What We Offer

Main Season

Our main season CSA will run June 10 - Oct 10, 2026, and provides a bounty of fresh produce every week from our farmers, including salad and/or cooking greens, a variety of ripe, seasonal vegetables and fruits, and an interesting mix of fresh herbs.

  • A main season full share is typically ideal for a household of 4-6 people (or a few enthusiastic plant eaters!) and supplies members with about 14 items per week on average. Produce follows the arc of the growing season with the most amounts and diversity of produce peaking in mid-summer.

  • A main season half share is ideal for a household of 2-3 people and provides members with about 7 items per week on average. Produce follows the arc of the growing season with the most amounts and diversity of produce peaking in mid-summer.

Fall Extension

Our late season CSA includes salad and/or cooking greens, hardy root vegetables, storage allium, winter squashes, and a variety of fresh culinary and medicinal herbs. These are weekly shares offered so long as produce is available.

  • In the fall season we offer shares one week at a time. A full share is ideal for a household of 4-6 people and supplies members with an average of about 16-20 sizeable items per week.

  • In the fall season we offer shares one week at a time. A half share is ideal for a household of 2-3 people and supplies members with approximately 8-10 sizable items per week.

Support Your Local Community

  1. Preserving Farmland: Since 1940, Rhode Island has lost 80% of its productive agricultural land. Between 1965 and 1990, the town of Johnston lost 55% of its agricultural land. Your membership helps ensure this special piece of farmland – farmed for over a century and one of the closest farms to RI’s urban core – is protected from development.

  2. Supporting Farmers: Community Supported Agriculture provides job security to small-scale farmers who are some of our most important community assets and the key to local food security.

  3. Investing in Families: Our CSA membership ensures families have access to nutrient-dense foods grown by farmers they know and trust.  Our farm only uses organic growing practices, so you can be sure there are no chemicals used on the fruits and vegetables you will be eating.

  4. Growing Community: Joining a CSA is a great way to meet like-minded people and to be a part of a community that shares your values of knowing where your food comes from. It’s a chance to be part of something positive that benefits not only you and your family but the greater community as well.

  5. Giving Back: Gather Farm donates produce weekly to families facing food insecurity in our community. Everyone deserves access to fresh, healthy food, and it is our pleasure to give back to those who need help getting it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have any additional questions? Feel free to fill out our contact form.

  • Both pick-up days/locations offer a “market style” pick-up where members can pick and choose from a variety of items on the tables. Some abundant produce will be given to everyone but most can be selected based on what you love most. Every week we aim to offer a variety of salad and/or cooking greens and herbs in addition to the seasonal items that are ripe and ready for harvest that week.

If you’d prefer to have a pre-boxed share with a variety of items chosen for you, just let us know! We can have it ready for you for quick pick-up or we can box it up on site.

  • We do ask members to select one primary pick-up day/location at the start of the season. That said, if you need to switch your pick-up day one week, that is no problem. It’s a great perk of having two pick-up options! We just ask folks to let us know by email no later than Monday of the week they are switching. A lot of the produce is harvested on pick-up day for our members and there’s a lot of logistics that go into preparing your produce as fresh as it can be every week. We want to make sure we have the right amount of produce harvested on the right days for all our members!

  • If you think you’ll be running late you can always email us and we can box up a share for you to remain on site until you get there. We cannot arrange other pick-up times. Otherwise, all unclaimed shares are added to our weekly St. Bellarmine food panty donation in Johnston that supports local families who struggle with food insecurity.
